I’m don’t call myself a dog person, per se, I’m more of an equal opportunity animal lover. Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, bunnies…if it has eyes and is remotely cute, I’m going to pet it and maybe take it home with me. I grew up with dogs — in a family of “dog people” — but I am, for the moment, currently dog less for a number of reasons, the first being my poor 16 and 14 year old casts would likely have a heart attack on he spot if I brought a dog home. And…. singulair over the counter.there’s my hubby, a pillar of reason — at times, who had made getting any new animals verboten for the time being. As we already have, two cats, two guinea pigs, two roborovski hamsters (that are so tiny, I can’t see how they count), HIS two gigantic jack Dempsey cichlids (they are fish) he says a dog would complete the food chain and he doesn’t want the entire food chain in his home. I suppose I won’t tell him about that little Shepherd pup I almost rescued from a busy parking lot the other day. Turns out he had jumped from his owner’s car and was safely returned to the rightful owners.
